A note for English-speaking readers

Etsy is a global marketplace for handmade, vintage and design goods. This page shows how the exchange between QUINCEFIN and a trading platform is built: orders, catalogue, stock and prices. The same mechanism sits behind the other sales channels the platform works with.

How to connect Etsy

Five controlled steps from the Etsy app to a regular exchange.

1

Create an app and a profile

You register an app in Etsy Developers and an Etsy profile in QUINCEFIN. The profile holds the app's keystring and shared secret, plus the user responsible for the connection.

2

Register the callback address

Once the profile is saved, copy the redirect URI it shows into the Etsy app settings. The address has to match exactly, including the protocol and the path.

3

Confirm access in Etsy

The "Connect Etsy" button opens an OAuth window. The owner or an administrator signs in to the right shop and grants the permissions — the Etsy password is never entered in QUINCEFIN.

4

Import orders and the catalogue

Start with a manual import over a short period and check the documents, then load the active listings and their variations into the QUINCEFIN catalogue.

5

Switch on the scheduled exchange

After the trial run, QUINCEFIN checks for new and changed orders every 5 minutes and can update quantities and prices for listings that are already linked.

From Etsy into QUINCEFIN

New and changed Etsy orders
Active shop listings
Listing variations as separate product items
The Etsy SKU, or a technical code based on the Etsy ID

From QUINCEFIN to Etsy

Current quantity for listings that are already linked
Prices from the selected price type — if the sync is switched on
Shipments and tracking — only after they are enabled separately

The integration does not create new listings in Etsy. Payments, fees and refunds are not imported either.

What this gives the business

Fewer manual steps between the shop, the catalogue and warehouse accounting.

Orders without re-typing

New and changed Etsy orders are loaded into QUINCEFIN manually or on a schedule. Running the import again updates the existing data instead of creating duplicates.

Listings become part of the catalogue

Active listings and their variations are imported into the QUINCEFIN catalogue and keep the link to the matching Etsy offerings.

Stock comes from the warehouse you choose

For linked items QUINCEFIN sends Etsy the quantity from the configured warehouse, so the team manages stock inside the accounting loop.

Prices sync when you need them to

Price updates are enabled separately. The price type is chosen in the profile, and its currency has to match the currency of the Etsy shop.

The schedule stays under control

Automatic import is off to begin with. After a manual check you can turn on the five-minute change check, starting from a chosen checkpoint.

A safe start for shipments

Sending tracking numbers is off by default and is only switched on once the process has been agreed, because Etsy may notify the buyer.

Frequently asked questions

Does QUINCEFIN create new listings in Etsy?

No. The integration imports existing listings and updates quantities — and prices when needed — only for items that are already linked.

How quickly does a new order show up in QUINCEFIN?

With the schedule enabled the system checks for new and changed orders every 5 minutes. The import can also be run manually for a chosen period.

Will a repeated import create duplicates?

No. Running the import again for the same period updates the orders already imported by their Etsy ID instead of creating new copies.

Are Etsy payments, fees and refunds imported?

No. The current integration works with orders, the catalogue, stock, optional prices and shipments, but it does not record Etsy payments, fees or refunds.

Does the integration convert the price currency?

No. The currency of the selected price type in QUINCEFIN has to match the currency of the Etsy shop before the sync is switched on.

Why is shipment sync off at the start?

Sending a tracking number can trigger a notification to the buyer in Etsy. That is why the scenario is enabled separately, once the team has checked the process.

Try the Etsy integration on your own shop

The OAuth connection, the trial import of orders and listings and the stock sync all run inside the shared QUINCEFIN environment — from €24 / from €49 per month.
